Rumored actresses to take on the role include Julia Garner, Florence Pugh, and two unnamed “Euphoria” actresses. Why would Universal run the risk of financing Madonna directing a movie about herself which she’s also written? Maybe because the singer gave them an ultimatum: it’s my way or the highway.
